Hello, I'm Irene Pastore.  Welcome to, SeniorFit Personal Training, located in New York City.  My goal is to help you remain  independent - free of walkers, canes, and caretakers.  I will teach you the best exercises that suit your abilities and interests, and help you reach your health and fitness goals.

Strength training is the foundation of the SeniorFit program, because it improves your balance, your posture, your outlook on life, and will keep you healthy, and independent.  

If you're weak, you can't enjoy life, no matter how much money you have in the bank. 

I will teach you how to take control of your  life by changing your health, through senior fitness.  Exercise, when done correctly, will help you turn back the clock, and decelerate the aging process.  If you're dedicated, and serious about making positive changes, give SeniorFit Personal Training a try, by signing up for the Special Introductory offer for new clients. 

Making your body strong creates joints that are resilient to injury.  


Many Americans think that aging is synonomous with disability.  This is not true.  Getting older doesn't mean we have to become frail, diseased, and dependent on others for self-care.  If you want to improve your health, you can.  Even if you start a simple cardio walking program, take senior swim classes, or learn Tai Chi, it can make a significant difference in the way you look and feel!

           ABOUT IRENE PASTORE 
              Specialist in Fitness For Older Adults

Included in this section is a short biography, because I believe it's important for my clients to know more about me, my education, and professional experience.  I want you to feel confident, when you hire me to be your personal trainer. 

My career in fitness started in 1996, after graduating from the Integral Yoga Institute (IYI), in New York City.  I earned certifications in Yoga, and Prenatal Yoga through the IYI. 

My teaching experience includes health clubs, birthing centers, corporate fitness facilities, hospitals, Yoga centers, wellness centers, and private clientele.  

As a Group Yoga Instructor, for the past 12 years, I have had the opportunity to help hundreds of men and women,
on their path to improved health and wellness. 

My quest for knowledge, and the desire to teach exercise to older adults, led me to acquire certifications in Personal Training from the International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA), and the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM).  In addition, I also hold personal trainer specialty certifications in Fitness Therapy, and Specialist in Fitness For Older Adults, from the ISSA.

I am also certified in Tai Chi Exercise, by the Arthritis Foundation, and hold a certificate in Pilates Mat Exercise. from PHI Pilates.
